Vendor Charting Competition: Eight Vendors were presented with a patient scenario which contained two parts: a Nurse Triage scenario and a Physician Assessment, Treatment and Disposition scenario. A brief (15 minute) simulated patient encounter was presented verbally.  Printed test results and other key data were distributed after the case has been presented. 30 minutes was allotted for the entire presentation AND documentation. The “chartoff” (Live Charting Demo - LCD), one of the most popular parts of each EDIS conference, offered an important venue for vendors to show their wares, and for attendees to see products in action.

However, attendees have complained that they could not see all of the vendors’ products at the same time as there are often four simultaneous vendors charting. As part of our advancing technological improvements for our EDIS community, PaACEP proudly announced a new service for our 2007 charting competitors. Prior to the EDIS conference, every vendor was offered the opportunity to perform a live video capture of their complete documentation session by one of three video screen capture software products - Camtasia®, BB FlashBack Express ® or SnagIt®    At the December 07 & 08 EDIS Conferences, we digitally recording their live charting demonstration and below is the *FLASH display of their recording.  The EDIS Program Committee graciously appreciates the efforts of all the vendors and especially those who consented to have their charting sessions recorded for the benefit of you - the user-buyer.
